Who We Are

Fayette County EMS is privileged to serve the Community of Fayette County Texas. We are a rural department consisting of a dedicated staff of just under 45 medical providers. Utilizing the most up to date protocols and training ensures that our staff will offer the best in patient care.

Meet The Leadership

Josh Vandever, our EMS Director (Chief) has been working and volunteering in emergency response since 2007. 

He is a graduate of Blinn College and Sam Houston State University. 

Josh and his wife, Kristen, live in Fayette County with their daughter, Haley and son, Mason.

Chief Vandever is a Licensed Paramedic and carries certifications as an EMS and fire instructor, structural firefighter, fire officer, and flood and swift water Rescue technician.

Gary Daniels is the Assistant Chief of Fayette County EMS. He has a decade of EMS and firefighting experience. He joined our team in August of 2023.

He is a graduate of Victoria College's EMS program and is studying for his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Asst. Chief Daniels is a Licensed Paramedic, Critical Care Paramedic - Certified and Certified Flight Paramedic.

Gary and his family are residents of the West Point area.

Jarrett Bise is the A Shift Captain of Fayette County EMS. He has worked for FCEMS for 13 years. He joined command staff in April of 2016.

He is a graduate of TEEX EMS program gaining his Paramedic license in 2013. 

Captain Bise and his family are residents of the Giddings area.

Neil Watkins is the B Shift Captain of Fayette County EMS. He has worked for FCEMS for 15 years. He joined command staff in October of 2022.

He is a graduate of TEEX EMS program gaining his Paramedic license in 2021.

Captain Watkins and his family are residents of Bastrop.

Conner Zeller is the C Shift Captain of Fayette County EMS. He has worked for FCEMS for 3 years. He joined command staff in November of 2022.

He is a graduate of Blinn EMS program gaining his Paramedic license in 2019. 

Captain Zeller and his family are residents of the La Grange area.
